To coincide with the launch of their new ad campaign, Fitness First decided to launch virtual tours of its key Sydney clubs. But they had a very tight deadline, so they needed a provider with proven experience and a reputation for getting things done right the first time.
Fitness First engaged Rapturous Media to complete five virtual reality (VR) tours within an incredibly short deadline, leading up to a big campaign launch. We started shooting immediately and completed our photo shoots during normal business hours, without affecting club operations whatsoever. We then delivered their 360-degree tours on time, complete with a hosting solution and fast worldwide CDN distribution. The tours are compatible with virtual reality headsets (including Google Cardboard), and we also integrated them into the Fitness First website and social media pages, as well as Google Maps.
And we’re proud to say the VR experiences proved a big success – both at the campaign launch and afterwards. In the first month after launch, they attracted approximately 25,000 visitors, and in the months since, have averaged approximately 1,200 visitors every day (with almost 50% of them being new) and this number constantly growing. What’s more, the tours are being used on daily basis by Fitness First’s staff and salespeople.
As a result, Fitness First immediately asked us to create virtual tours for their other clubs in Sydney and Melbourne, with the prospect of rolling them out across all other cities in Australia.
